Junior Magic league Cancelled

SPECIAL BULLETIN TO ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS

TBI will like to inform all parents and players that we will officially be cancelling the Junior Magic League that was supposed to take place in December. Although this is a shock to most of you it is a definite sign that TBI is moving in the right direction and growing as an organization. During the last few weeks we have been able to recruit numerous players and continue to gain interest from potential players and parents for the 2013 season. For that reason we have decided that the 8 game Junior Magic League will not help in the development of our players. We believe the right course of action is to continue to hold training and conditioning three days per week so our players can get in better athletic conditioning. Furthermore, it will give our players the opportunity to improve on their skills and fundamentals. Our coaches will have more time to teach the game of basketball instead of coaching Junior Magic and heading right into tournament season.

DO NOT TAKE THIS A BAD NEWS; WE ARE DOING WHAT IS RIGHT FOR OUR PLAYERS.

In leui of the Junior Magic Season, this is what we will do as an organization:

1. Continue to hold Training and Conditioning 3 times per week (check weekly schedule for location + times). It is critical to the development of our players and teams that we have maximum participation from existing and new TBI players. We will use this time to work on individual player development, skills and fundamentals.

2. Coaches will be scheduling team practices at least 1 time per week. Individual team practices will be in addition to the Strength and Conditioning schedule. Please check with your head coach for further guidance.

3. The cancellation of the Junior Magic Season will also give us some additional time to begin to fundraise and get ready for the 2013 tournament season.

Thank you for your understanding and we are looking forward to an amazing 2013 season.

God Bless!
