7th Grader Becomes and Impact Players for Wildcats

The majority of 7th graders spent the holidays with families opening gifts and taking some needed time off from their hectic school schedule.  For others, basketball was the primary focus during the break.  You may ask yourself what is so unique about a 7th grader playing hoops during the Holiday break; after all approximately 15 girls attended the Tampa Bay Inferno Holiday Basketball Camp to improve their skills.  What is special about this player is that she has spent this season and holiday break playing High School Varsity Basketball.
Taylor Polasky is a 7th grader playing at a varsity level at the Academy at the Lakes.  AATL won the Academy of Holy Names Jaguars Holiday Tournament with TBI’s very own Taylor Polasky being a major contributor in this tournament.  During the semi-finals against the Academy of Holy Names, Taylor scored 7 points and helped lead her team to a 38-33 win.  In the tournament finals, despite having just six players suited up, AATL improved to 14-0 as Taylor, sank four 3-pointers to lead the Wildcats with 14 points.
She is not only a 7th grader on a varsity basketball team; she is a major contributor to one of the best girls Basketball teams in the Tampa Bay area.  AATL is currently 14-0 and looking to make a state championship run.
“Tampa Bay Inferno has helped me become a fundamentally sound basketball player” said Taylor.  She is the starting point guard on the 7th grade TBI team and attributes her success to the high level of competition that she faces during the competitive travel tournament season and TBI’s consistent focus on fundamentals.  This will be Taylor’s 4th year with the Tampa Bay Inferno.
Congratulations on all your success and we look forward to even bigger accomplishments in the future.
GREAT JOB TAYLOR!
